New commission in Hampstead Garden Suburb

We are delighted by the new project we have been commissioned to undertake in one of the most iconic neighbourhoods in northwest London. We will be designing the complete architectural renovation and extension of a large property. Hampstead Garden Suburb was established in early 20th century and extended northwards in subsequent decades in styles characteristic of the contemporary 1920s style. Buildings in the Suburb provide a unique example of early 20th century domestic architecture and town planning. The Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust maintains the character and amenity of the Suburb and is responsible for implementing the management scheme.

We are very proud to be entrusted with a major renovation project in this unique and sensitive site.

The article highlights the personal service that XAMI provides and the highly innovative approach it brings to home extensions and major refurbishments while respecting the sensitivity to the period buildings XAMI has worked on. Finishing touches to prestige project in central London

XAMI were commissioned in 2022 to refurbish and part re-configure an iconic house in central London that had been originally designed by the award-winning architect Rashid Ali (RA Projects architects) for the fashion designer Rocksanda Ilincic. At the time, the house was featured in the premier architectural publication Dezeen. The article can be accessed here. We were very honoured to be entrusted with this project and have put in a lot of effort into designs that respect the original architectural motifs while making important improvements to the house. The build is now nearing completion and large glazing panels that will be central to newly created living areas and bedroom spaces have just been delivered and installed by specialist glaziers.
